The prefecture of Aitoloakarnania, to which Paleros Village belongs, is the largest in Greece. It contains amongst other things, six lakes, three lagoons,
four rivers (one of which is the longest in Greece), five therapeutic spas, 14 castles, four ancient theaters and a plethora of
mountains. Everything is within easy reach from Paleros and waiting to be explored. |
It is good to know that even for the locals, and domestic tourists, Paleros is
ideally positioned because it is located close to archaeological sites and tourist attractions from neighboring prefectures.
Most important of all we are not far from Vikos canyon, the deepest canyon in Europe and the second deepest in the world, which
is surrounded by spectacular, picturesque villages. The areas surrounding Paleros Village are home to virgin beaches with clear,
inviting turquoise water and a unique coastline doted with colorful fishing villages which overlook the islands of Kalamos and
Lefkada and the Ionian Sea. |
Located in a gulf, under an impressive mountain, we are truly in a mythical place, a
country to explore and find your inner self. And you can be as active (or inactive) as you want to be! Relax and read your book
under the sun in Antoni's balcony, observe the beautiful scenery from the "roof" of the village, and if you desire to look
further, festivities and amazing places await you. You can explore the mountain and its hidden, old churches; the trails begins
only a few yards away from our house. We can give you directions anytime you desire so you can explore virgin beaches, castles
and other extraordinary destinations which are safe and easy to reach, by foot, bicycle or rented scooter or car. |
Importantly, Antonis has an understanding of what you need and is willing to make
your holidays unforgetable. Alternative staying and self-catering, delicious Mousaka and other traditional dishes from our
taverna, active exploring and lazy afternoon siestas, it's all in the menu here. |
